SFVI, which will be a top draw at the Evo 2023 fighting game championships this weekend in Las Vegas (read more about it in SBJ Esports tomorrow), debuted at No. 3. Blockbuster launches ejected sports games out of the top 10 save MLB: The Show 23 (which came in at No. 8 after finishing sixth in May). FIFA 23 came in at No. 11, a drop of four spots. Madden NFL, approaching the end of its yearly run, was out of the top 10, as was NBA 2K23. EA Sports saw a good debut from F1 2023, which was at No. 15 in its second year with the publisher (F1 debuted at No. 12 in 2022). “It’s pretty normal for only one licensed sports game to be in the top 10 [in June],” said Circana Executive Director/Video Games Mat Piscatella. “In the last three years it was The Show.
